Matawalle cautions against misleading, inciting remarks by politicians

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, has cautioned politicians against making reckless and inciting statements regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
He warned that certain remarks from some political figures are not only disrespectful but also risk radicalizing youths and destabilizing the nation’s peace and security.
Dr. Matawalle stated that security agencies are on high alert and will not tolerate any subversive rhetoric that threatens national unity or incites lawlessness. He stressed that power is earned through democratic means, not intimidation, violence, or unlawful actions.
The minister further urged Nigerians to have faith in President Tinubu’s leadership and to ignore criticisms from former Minister Rotimi Amaechi and his associates, whom he described as politically irrelevant and disconnected from the realities of national development.
“The Ministry of Defence will continue to monitor activities aimed at disrupting public peace and will ensure severe consequences for those found culpable,” Matawalle affirmed.
