May 1st: ‘Brighter days ahead for Nigerian workers’ — Kalu

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has commended Nigerian workers for their resilience and dedication, recognizing their vital role in national development.
In a statement marking the 2025 International Workers’ Day, Kalu praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its commitment to workers’ welfare, citing the swift approval of a new minimum wage by the National Assembly as a major step forward.
He urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the administration’s economic reforms, assuring that the changes are intended to bring long-term benefits.
Kalu also called for unity and collective effort in addressing the nation’s challenges, encouraging workers to align with the government’s vision for progress.
He concluded by wishing Nigerian workers a happy May Day celebration and expressed optimism about a brighter future for the nation’s workforce.
