MC Oluomo elected NURTW national president
Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the former Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers has been elected the new National President.
The election was held at the Union’s Zonal Secretariat on the Osogbo/Ikirun road, and Akinsanya was the only candidate.
The election was attended by delegates from the four Southwest states of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti. Aliyu Issa-Ore, the group’s acting national president, saw and observed the election, which took place during the Union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference.
Also, Akeem Adeosun was elected as a Trustee from the Zone, while Tajudeen Agbede was voted Vice President, Southwest by the delegates.
Akinsanya urged for peace shortly after taking the oath of office and promised to strive for harmony among members.
