Melaye and Ortom fight over Tinubu at PDP meeting

Former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom and the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for Kogi State in the 2023 election, Senator Dino Melaye got into a “fight” At the PDP North Central Zone leadership meeting on Wednesday.

Melaye said in a tweet on his X account on Thursday that Ortom’s endorsement of All Progressives Congress President Bola Tinubu in the run-up to the 2027 election was the cause of the altercation.

Melaye wrote, “Why will Ortom attend a PDP meeting after declaring support for Tinubu in 2027? Hence, my altercation with him at the PDP North Central Zone leadership meeting.”

Additionally, he shared the video of the fight that an X user #iamhistory_ had posted, in which the user claimed that Melaye had embarrassed Ortom during the meeting.

Ortom had early in the year, said the G5, or former PDP governors intend to back Tinubu for a second term in 2027.
