Missing girl in BRT: I’ll leave no stone unturned over kidnap, death, says Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday said he will leave no stone unturned to ensure the killers of Oluwabamise Ayanwole are brought to book.
Sanwo-Olu said this in a statement he posted on his Facebook page Monday evening.
He said the life of every citizen of Lagos state matters and his administration do not take the security of our people for granted.
“We will leave no stone unturned in the investigations and arrest of everyone found culpable in the kidnap and death of Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwole.
“The driver of the BRT bus involved in this unfortunate incident has been arrested, and the management of Lagos Bus Service Ltd have been directed to cooperate fully with security agencies in their investigations, so that the full weight of the law is brought down on everyone involved in this ugly incident.
“To Oluwabamise’s family and loved ones, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, may the Almighty God console you. I hereby give you my word that Justice will be served,” the governor said.
Sanwo-Olu also assured Lagosians that he will ensure that Oluwabamise gets the justice she deserves.
Western Post had earlier reported that the corpse of the 22-year-old girl was found on Carter Bridge, Lagos Island.
Family members immediately identified the body, prompting security agents to intensify their search.
The body has been deposited at the mortuary for autopsy to be conducted.
Andrew Omininikoron, the driver of the BRT bus the late Ayanwole boarded, had also been apprehended.
There was public outcry following the release of an audio and video conversation Ayanwole had with a friend while inside the bus which she boarded at Chevron bus stop in Lekki area of Lagos.
The bus was headed to Oshodi, but Ayanwole told her friend that she was afraid because the driver did not pick other passengers. She also sent the bus number.
Later, the driver picked three other ‘passengers’, a move that looked suspicious, forcing Ayanwole to tell her friend through video call.
A few minutes later, the friend could not reach her again.
