Media mogul and entrepreneur Dr. Mo Abudu, alongside the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musawa, are set to attend the National Film and Video Censors Board’s (NFVCB) 4th Peace Anyiam Osigwe Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference.

Dr. Abudu will deliver the keynote address at the conference, scheduled for November 14–15 in Lagos. This year’s theme, “Film and Video Regulation in the Digital Age,” will frame Abudu’s keynote titled, “From Local to Global: Developing Narratives and Contents for Worldwide Appeal.” This marks her first appearance at the conference, which annually gathers industry stakeholders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

As the CEO of EbonyLife Group, Abudu brings extensive experience in Africa’s media and entertainment industry. Her keynote will focus on creating engaging narratives that resonate globally while retaining local relevance—a skill she has honed through producing internationally acclaimed films.

Recognized by Forbes as Africa’s Most Successful Woman and dubbed “Africa’s Queen of Media” by CNN and the Hollywood Reporter, Abudu is well-equipped to discuss strategies for creating stories that bridge cultural divides.

“We are thrilled to have Mo Abudu as our keynote speaker,” said NFVCB Executive Director Dr. Shaibu Husseini. “Her passion for African storytelling and commitment to excellence make her an ideal fit for this conference.”

Dr. Husseini also highlighted the significance of Minister Musawa’s participation, noting it as her first appearance at the Nigeria Digital Content Conference. “The Minister’s presence underscores the government’s commitment to the growth and development of the creative sector,” he added.

The two-day conference will feature panel discussions and breakout sessions aligned with the main theme, fostering in-depth conversations around the future of digital content regulation in Nigeria.
