MoBhad: Osun youths protest, give FG 3 days ultimatum to fish out killers

Vehicular movements was disrupted on Wednesday as youths stormed major streets in Osogbo, capital of Osun State to protests over the circumstances surrounding the death of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.
The youths, who wore black dress, marched across major streets such as Oke-Fia, Alekuwodo, Olaiya and lateri gathered at the Nelson Mandela Freedom park gave the Federal Government three days ultimatum to fish out the killers of the late artist
They carried placards with inscriptions like #JusticeforMohbad and #WhoOffLight among others.
Speaking at the protest ground, One of the conveners, Olusayo Ogunleye, said they are out to demand justice for Mohbad in a peaceful protests.
He said, “We are here to seek justice for our brother, Mohbad. Whoever had hands in his death must be punished. We want justice for the deceased. We are giving the federal government and the Nigerian Police three days to fish out the killers.”
Also speaking, Fisayo Aderemi called on the government to carry out thorough investigation into the death of Mohbad.
She asked FG to also look into the hospital where the artist gave up the ghost as well as set up committee to look into Marlian records and fish out the culprit.
“We want the Federal Government to look into the hospital where mohbad died, we want them to also look into marlins record he has a deep reason to be called upon for interview.
Meanwhile, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Adewale Akanbi has described the death of the star hip-hop artist as colossal loss to entire Yorubaland.
Oba Akanbi who commiserated with the family of deceased urged the lovers of late musician to remain calm, assuring them that Mohbad will get justice.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alli Ibrahim, and made available to journalists in Osogbo, the monarch asked the youths who have been embarking on a peaceful protest to go back home so that the protest not be hijacked by the hoodlums
He said, “The demise of the rising artist, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly called Mohbad was a colossal loss to Yorubaland, Nigeria and the world at large. I commiserate with his immediate family and the entertainment industry.
“While calling on the government to ensure justice prevails on the circumstances surrounding his death, I appeal to the protesting youth to be calm, civil in their conduct and public demonstration. The ardent lovers of Mohbad are enjoined to leave the street and go home. The protest may be hijacked by hoodlums if not properly managed.
“Stakeholders are already working to ensure justice for Mohbad. The youth should cooperate with the government by conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.
“Once again, may the soul of the departed Mohbad rest in peace.”
