Mobihealth, Medicaid Foundation, WorldCare partner to revolutionize cancer care in Africa

Mobihealth International, Medicaid Cancer Foundation, and WorldCare Inc. have officially launched a transformative partnership to improve cancer care across Africa.
Announced Monday, the initiative aims to make quality cancer diagnostics and treatment accessible and affordable by combining telehealth services, expert second opinions, and advanced therapies through a tech-enabled platform.
“This partnership is about hope, innovation, and impact,” said Dr. Funmi Adewara, CEO of Mobihealth International. “We are not just expanding access—we are reshaping the future of cancer care on the continent.”
Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, founder of Medicaid Cancer Foundation and President of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), described the collaboration as a patient-focused model that empowers local providers and leaves no one behind.
WorldCare will support the partnership with second medical opinions and clinical guidance from its network of Harvard-affiliated specialists, ensuring African patients and doctors receive world-class expertise.
The alliance will deploy remote screening programs, equip local health centers with diagnostic tools, and build capacity among frontline healthcare workers, even in remote communities.
The collaboration comes amid growing cancer burdens in Africa, where many patients still face delayed diagnoses and limited treatment options due to systemic gaps.
Together, the three organizations say they are committed to bridging those gaps and improving survival outcomes through innovation, inclusion, and global collaboration.
