Momoh calls for APC unity, urges support for Tinubu ahead of presidential primary

The Minister of Regional Development, Abubakar Momoh, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to embrace unity and reconciliation following the conclusion of the party’s primaries for governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly positions.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, the minister congratulated candidates who emerged victorious in the contests and commended those who were unsuccessful for their commitment to the democratic process.
Momoh said the end of the primaries marked the beginning of a more critical phase for the party, stressing the need for members to work together to strengthen the APC ahead of future elections.
“The primaries have come and gone. As a great political family, this is the time to close ranks, extend hands of fellowship, and work together in the collective interest of our party. The APC has always emerged stronger whenever we place unity above personal interests,” he said.
The minister urged party leaders, elected officials, candidates, youth and women groups, as well as grassroots mobilisers across the country to focus on consolidating the achievements of the APC-led administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ahead of the APC presidential primary scheduled for Friday, Momoh called on delegates and party members nationwide to support Tinubu’s emergence as the party’s presidential candidate.
He described Tinubu’s leadership as one driven by courage, reforms, national development, and long-term economic transformation, adding that the administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” was laying foundations for future generations.
“Tomorrow presents another important moment in the history of our great party. I encourage all delegates and party faithfuls across the country to participate actively and demonstrate their confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by giving him a resounding affirmation as our party’s presidential candidate,” he stated.
