Morocco 2025: Flamingos stay in camp for final round clash against Algeria

Nigeria’s U-17 girls, the Flamingos, will remain in camp as they prepare for the final round of the qualification series for this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where they will face Algeria.

The first leg is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, while the return leg will take place in Algeria a week later.

The 2022 World Cup bronze medallists secured their spot in the final round by defeating South Africa’s Bantwana 3-1 in Pretoria and sealing the tie with a 2-0 victory in Ikenne, winning 5-1 on aggregate.

Algeria, on the other hand, recovered from a 2-1 first-leg defeat to Botswana in Gaborone by securing a dominant 4-0 victory at home, setting up a showdown with Nigeria for a ticket to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
