Musawa hails Super Falcons’ resilience, celebrates 10th title win

The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, has congratulated the Super Falcons of Nigeria on their historic victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), describing it as a proud moment for the nation.

The Super Falcons pulled off a dramatic comeback in the final match against Morocco on Saturday in Rabat, overcoming a 2-0 halftime deficit to win 3-2. The thrilling encounter secured Nigeria’s record-extending 10th WAFCON title.

Musawa, who watched the game live with the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, and the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, commended the team’s determination and attacking spirit.

“I am thrilled to celebrate the Super Falcons on their remarkable achievement. Their win is a testament to their skill, resilience, and unwavering dedication to representing our great nation,” the Minister said.

She noted that the victory is not only a triumph in sports but a symbol of the strength and perseverance of Nigerian women, adding that the team’s performance would inspire future generations.

“As the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy, I recognise their outstanding performance and commend their commitment to excellence,” Musawa stated.
