NAF appoints Air Commodore Ejodame as new spokesperson

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the appointment of Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as its new spokesperson, succeeding Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, who now serves as the Director of Civil Military Relations at the Defence Headquarters.

Air Commodore Ejodame, a member of the 45th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, brings a wealth of experience in logistics, strategic planning, and defence management.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK.

His military education includes training at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, and the Air Force War College, Makurdi, where he was named Best Graduating Participant. He also earned top honours at the National Defence College, Abuja, receiving both the Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Air Staff Awards.

Ejodame has held numerous key positions within the NAF, including Directing Staff roles at top military institutions and as Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna. He also served as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser at the High Commission in Malaysia, overseeing defence relations with nine other countries.

A respected scholar and public relations expert, Ejodame is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Nigerian Institute of Management.

He is also a Fellow of several professional bodies including the Air Force War College, National Defence College, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria.

His appointment is expected to strengthen the NAF’s public relations and strategic communication efforts, reinforcing the service’s dedication to professionalism and transparency.
