Napoli, Galatasaray finalise permanent transfer agreement for Osimhen

Napoli and Galatasaray have reached a full agreement for the permanent transfer of Nigerian international Victor Osimhen following his impressive loan spell with the Turkish champions during the 2024/25 season.
The forward, who netted 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions, had been the subject of sustained interest from Galatasaray, who were keen to retain his services on a long-term basis.
Although the Turkish club had earlier agreed to activate Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, negotiations extended over several weeks due to differences regarding the payment structure and Napoli’s demand for official guarantees.
According to reports, the deal is now in its final stages, with Galatasaray committing to pay the full €75 million fee by the end of 2026.
Under the terms of the agreement, Napoli will receive an initial €40 million, with the remaining €35 million to be paid in installments over the next two years.
In addition to the transfer fee, the Italian club will be entitled to up to €5 million in performance-based bonuses and will retain a 10 percent sell-on clause.
The agreement also includes a special provision known as an ‘anti-Serie A clause,’ which prevents Osimhen from transferring to any of Napoli’s direct rivals in the Italian top flight for the next 24 months.
