Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan sworn in as Kogi-Central senator

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (People’s Democratic Party-Kogi State) has taken the oath of office and allegiance as senator representing Kogi-Central at the National Assembly.

The Clerk of the Senate, Mr Chinedu Akubueze, administered the oath on Akpoti-Uduaghan on Thursday.

This followed the judgement of the Appeal Court, which declared her as the winner of the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The three-member panel, in its ruling, upheld the judgement of the state’s election petitions tribunal and dismissed the appeal filed by Senator Abubakar Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
