NBTI, Navigation 360 partner to enhance grassroots innovation

The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Navigation 360 Foundation to enhance grassroots awareness and participation in technology incubation programs across Nigeria.
The partnership was formalized during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Navigation 360 Foundation to the NBTI Headquarters in Abuja. Speaking during the visit, the National President of the Foundation, Alhaja Olabisi Eletu, emphasized the urgent need to close the communication gap between government agencies and local communities. She expressed concern that many Nigerians at the grassroots remain unaware of the services provided by institutions like NBTI.
“Our mission is to showcase the good work NBTI is doing by cascading it to the grassroots,” Alhaja Eletu stated, noting the Foundation’s presence in all 774 local government areas as a key advantage in amplifying NBTI’s reach.
In response, NBTI Director General and CEO, Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, welcomed the collaboration, highlighting its alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. He said the partnership would support economic inclusion, reduce poverty, and create wealth through the expansion of Technology Incubation Centres nationwide.
Dr. Raji shared the success story of a female entrepreneur, formerly illiterate, who now earns over N1.2 billion annually with support from NBTI — demonstrating the agency’s transformative potential.
He also advocated for legislative backing of Executive Orders 003 and 005 to institutionalize the patronage of locally made goods, strengthen the local economy, and boost Nigeria’s export capacity.
Dr. Raji praised President Tinubu for his commitment to infrastructure and national development, citing the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Badagry-Sokoto Highway as landmark projects.
