The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Flybird Aircraft Management Services Limited, a non-scheduled operator headquartered in Abuja.

Acting Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, speaking at the formal ceremony on Monday, urged Flybird to demonstrate its capability and capacity to justify the issuance of the AOC.

Emphasizing the streamlined and expedited processes for obtaining aviation certifications and licenses, he added that the presentation was in the support of the federal government’s “ease-of-doing-business” initiative.

This certification marks a significant milestone for Flybird, allowing the company to officially conduct commercial aviation operations.
