NDLEA arraigns Abba Kyari, six others in court
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arraigned suspended Head, Police Intelligence Response Team, IRT, Abba Kyari before a federal high court in Abuja.
Kyari was arraigned alongside six others.
Out of the six, four are members of the police IRT: Sunday J. Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba and John Nuhu.
The other two arraigned with Kyari are Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne, alleged drug traffickers arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
In the charge, Kyari and the four other police officers were accused of conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in Cocaine worth 17.55 kilograms.
They were also accused of tampering with 21.25kg of cocaine unlawfully.
The prosecution team was led by NDLEA Director, Prosecution and Legal Services, Mr. Joseph Sunday.
