NFF congratulates Musa Kida on appointment as NNPCL Chairman

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has congratulated the President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Engineer Ahmadu Musa Kida, on his appointment as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

In a letter signed by NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the football-governing body stated that Kida’s appointment by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was well-deserved given his proven ability, competence, and extensive experience in the nation’s oil sector over the decades.

“Your appointment is another testament that a goldfish has no hiding place. Your legacies as the most impactful President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), a true leader in Nigeria’s oil sector and internationally, and an administrator of the highest repute have rightfully earned you this higher national assignment. We heartily rejoice with you.

“The NFF has absolute confidence in your capacity to lead the new board toward enhanced operational efficiency, restoration of investor confidence, local content development, remarkable economic growth, and the advancement of gas commercialization and diversification, as envisioned by Mr. President,” Sanusi wrote.

The NFF commended Mr. President for the appointment while praising Kida’s track record as a skilled manager of people and resources, a champion of excellence, and an individual whose relentless innovation and leadership have contributed significantly to the success of every establishment he has been part of.

Kida, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, now heads the newly constituted 11-member NNPCL board, with Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari serving as the Group Chief Executive Officer.
