The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to hold this year’s southern conference match commissioners’ seminar at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State, on Friday.
Alhaji Babagana Kalli, Chairman of the NFF Match Commissioners’ Appointment Committee, revealed that the seminar would be declared open by Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, representing NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
The one-day event will feature Sir Emma Ochiagha, a former Vice Chairman of the Imo State Football Association, and Mr. Danlami Alanana, Secretary of the NFF Match Commissioners’ Appointment Committee, as resource persons.
According to Alanana, the seminar aims to refresh the knowledge of match commissioners from the Nigeria National League (NNL), Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), and Nationwide League One (NLO) on the essentials and nuances of match reporting.
The program will also highlight the critical role of credible match reports, which serve as a basis for decision-making during crises or controversies.
Last year’s inaugural southern conference seminar was held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while the northern conference seminar took place in Kano.
