The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced plans to organize a four-month CAF B-License Coaching Course aimed at enhancing the skills of Nigerian coaches and equipping them for present and future challenges. The program is open to both male and female coaches.
NFF Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, revealed to thenff.com that the course is part of the federation’s strategic efforts to build coaching capacity nationwide. The training will be delivered in modules.
To qualify for the course, which runs from April 7 to August 25, 2025, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Be an active coach.
Possess a valid CAF C-License certificate used in the past two years.
Have proficiency in reading and writing in English.
Possess basic computer skills and a laptop.
Have a valid Gmail account.
Provide a medical certificate proving physical and mental fitness.
“We are targeting a maximum of 25 participants. Applicants who pass the pre-course assessment will receive a CAF CMS registration link and must pay N500,000 on or before March 31, 2025,” Eguavoen stated.
Last year, the NFF successfully organized a CAF C-License coaching program exclusively for women, the first of its kind in Nigeria.
The course, held between July and September 2024, included 30 women coaches, many of whom were former Nigerian international players. It was conducted in three modules and marked a milestone in the development of women’s football in the country.
