NGF Chairman AbdulRazaq visits Oyo, condoles Makinde over Christmas party stampede

Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has expressed deep condolences to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the people of Oyo State, and the families of the victims of a tragic stampede at a Christmas party that claimed multiple lives.

During a visit to Governor Makinde at the Government House, Agodi, on Monday, Governor Abdulrazaq described the incident as unfortunate and called for an immediate investigation to prevent future occurrences.

“The stampede was a disheartening incident. It is crucial that measures are put in place to ensure such tragedies are avoided in the future,” Abdulrazaq said.

The NGF Chairman offered prayers for the souls of the innocent children who lost their lives in the incident and sought divine strength for their families to endure the irreparable loss.

In an earlier statement, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum collectively commiserated with Governor Makinde, the affected families, and the people of Oyo State.

The Forum also prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls and comfort for their loved ones.
