NGF commends Oyebanji for electricity regulatory milestone

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has commended the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, following the recent transfer of electricity regulatory oversight from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to the Ekiti State Electricity Regulatory Bureau.
A letter signed by its Director General, Asishana Okauru, said that the transfer was a significant milestone in Oyebanji’s administration, acknowledging his dedication and commitment to serving Ekiti State.
The NGF expressed pride in Oyebanji’s leadership, citing his unwavering commitment and positive impact on the lives of Ekiti State residents.
Additionally, it lauded his strategic appointments and praised the Governor’s visionary governance.
NGF emphasized the Governor’s instrumental role in achieving this milestone, underscoring the immeasurable positive changes brought about by his tireless efforts.
Under the Biodun Oyebanji Administration, considerable investments have been made in the power sector to improve infrastructure and stimulate economic growth in alignment with the state’s shared prosperity agenda.
Notable achievements include the establishment of the 5-Megawatt Independent Power Project, rehabilitation efforts to connect towns to the National Grid, and various initiatives to extend electricity access across different regions, highlighting the administration’s commitment to enhancing the well-being of Ekiti State residents.
