The President of the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation, Seyi Johnson, has praised BetKing for its support in advancing the sport in the country.

Wheelchair basketball, one of the fastest-growing para-sports in Nigeria, has received a significant boost through BetKing’s sponsorship and partnership.

Johnson commended the company for its commitment to Nigerian sports, particularly special sports, through its support for the federation.

“On behalf of the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation, the entire board, and every stakeholder in the sport, I want to personally appreciate BetKing for all they are doing.

“Words are not enough to express my sincere gratitude because they have truly demonstrated their commitment through the kind of support we are receiving from them.

“When we approached them, it felt like they were already expecting us. They showed a deep understanding of Nigeria’s sports history and the significant role special sports have played in the country’s success at international competitions over the years.”

The wheelchair basketball federation president further emphasized the need for similar support from corporate organizations to complement government efforts, especially given the ongoing restructuring and revitalization of Nigerian sports with the establishment of the National Sports Commission (NSC).

He concluded by expressing confidence in the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball team’s chances of qualifying for its first-ever Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year, with the qualifiers set to take place later this year in South Africa. He acknowledged BetKing’s major role in supporting the team’s journey toward this goal.
