Nigerian Ambassador to Togo bids farewell to Prime Minister

The Ambassador of Nigeria to Togo, Julius Adebowale Adesina, has ended his two-year mission in the country. He paid a farewell visit to the Prime Minister, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé, on Wednesday.

During the visit, the two officials discussed the state of cooperation between Lomé and Abuja, and reviewed the achievements of the diplomat during his tenure. Ambassador Adesina expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received in Togo, and praised the work ethic of the Togolese people.

“I worked to promote cooperation between Nigeria and Togo, so I really enjoyed what we did here together. What I particularly remember is how hardworking the Togolese are”, he said.

Ambassador Adesina was appointed as Nigeria’s envoy to Togo on 28th May 2021. Before that, he was Editor-in-Chief of the independent Nigerian daily “The Guardian”.

Togo and Nigeria have strong bilateral relations, especially in the areas of economics, trade, energy and education.
