NIMASA receives SERVICOM Award for outstanding service delivery

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has been honored with the SERVICOM Award for exceptional service delivery, underscoring its commitment to improving transparency, efficiency, and service standards in the maritime sector.

The SERVICOM Award, a prestigious recognition for government agencies excelling in public service, celebrates NIMASA’s achievements in maritime safety, regulation, and the promotion of Nigeria’s maritime industry.

At the award presentation during the annual end-of-year meeting of the National Council of Nodal Officers with the SERVICOM Office in Abuja, NIMASA’s Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, represented by the Head of the SERVICOM Unit, Hajia Rakiya Lamai, expressed gratitude to the Presidency and the SERVICOM Office for the recognition.

In a letter of commendation, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, praised NIMASA for its commitment to ensuring Nigerians receive timely and quality services.

The Plaque contains details of the Award presented to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) by the SERVICOM Office in Abuja. During the annual end-of-year awards/meeting of the National Council of Nodal Officers with the SERVICOM Office, held in Abuja.

NIMASA, established under the NIMASA Act of 2007, serves as Nigeria’s regulatory authority for the maritime industry.

The Agency’s responsibilities include ensuring maritime safety, enforcing compliance with maritime laws, preventing marine pollution, promoting local shipping, and fostering the training of maritime professionals.
