NLTF partners Defence Hq for Africa Military Games

The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has announced a partnership with the Defence Headquarters for the forthcoming Africa Military Games, set to be hosted in Nigeria this November.

This collaboration was solidified during a meeting at the NLTF office on Wednesday, led by Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, Chairman of the Sport Organising Committee.

During the meeting, Marquis emphasized the substantial economic benefits of the games, estimating the impact to be in the multi-billion naira range. He emphasized that hosting the games would enhance Nigeria’s international visibility and commended the new leadership of the NLTF for their support.

NLTF Executive Secretary, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, expressed his appreciation for the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, acknowledging the improvements in national security under his command.

Adeyanju assured the delegation of NLTF’s ongoing commitment to partnering with the military, noting the significant economic advantages the games would bring as a key motivator for their involvement.

The delegation led by Marquis included high-ranking military officials such as Major General M Abdullahi, Commander A Umaru, Wing Commander A Mohammed, Captain AS Abdulkadir, Staff Sergeant Emmanuel Eze, Sergeant Umar, Lance Corporal James Rose, Olubunmi Adeda, Staff Sergeant Alfa, and Lance Corporal Johnson.

The partnership between NLTF and the Defence Headquarters aims to harness the potential of the Africa Military Games to bring economic benefits to Nigeria and improve the lives of its citizens. The games are expected to unite military personnel from across Africa, fostering a spirit of unity and friendly competition.
