NLTF partners NOA to boost ‘good causes’ nationwide
The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) is set to expand the reach of its charitable initiatives across Nigeria through a new partnership with the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
The collaboration, aimed at promoting NLTF’s “Good Causes” initiatives, was confirmed during a meeting between both agencies on Tuesday at NOA’s headquarters in Abuja.
Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, the Executive Secretary of NLTF, highlighted the organization’s commitment to using gaming proceeds for the benefit of disadvantaged communities. “Our focus is on supporting ‘Good Causes’ that benefit the downtrodden and vulnerable populations,” he said.
Adeyanju stressed that the funds generated through lottery activities are intended to drive social improvement projects nationwide.
NOA Director General, Isa Onilu, praised the efforts of NLTF, noting that its work aligns with the pressing needs of rural communities. “The lottery agency’s proceeds can be used in tackling challenges facing our rural areas,” Onilu said, adding that NOA’s vast network of 820 offices across the country would be mobilized to raise awareness about NLTF’s activities.
The partnership is expected to enhance public communication about the NLTF’s interventions and help identify critical areas in need of support.
Both agencies expressed their commitment to maximizing the impact of NLTF’s programs, which also contribute to President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda aimed at fostering development and social progress across Nigeria.
