NNPC Retail hosts She-Fix 2025, empowers women in automotive, energy sectors
NNPC Retail Limited (NRL) has marked a significant milestone with the successful hosting of She-Fix 2025, an event aimed at empowering women in the automotive, technical, and energy sectors while commemorating International Women’s Day.
Held at The Stable Center in Surulere, Lagos, the event attracted over 300 participants under the theme “Driving Diversity and Powering Progress.” It highlighted the crucial role women play in fostering innovation, economic development, and national growth.
The event featured hands-on activities, technical demonstrations, and engaging discussions, providing a platform to celebrate the achievements of women in traditionally male-dominated industries. Female mechanics were specially honored with awards recognizing their contributions and dedication to their craft.
Speaking at the event, NNPC Retail’s Managing Director, Mr. Huub Stokman, emphasized the broader impact of She-Fix beyond being just an event: “She-Fix 2025 represents our unwavering commitment to recognizing and amplifying women’s contributions across various industries.”
Also speaking, Mr. Cyprian Onwuegbu, Senior Business Adviser representing the Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC Limited, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to gender inclusivity: “NNPC remains committed to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion. She-Fix symbolizes our continuous efforts to create a progressive and equitable workplace for women.”
Participants engaged in Car Care 101 sessions, live car diagnostics, and explored a marketplace showcasing female-led businesses. NNPC Retail also offered special discounts on Oleum Lubricants and LPG NR-GAS to support women in the energy sector.
A major highlight of the event was a panel session titled “Unleashing the Potential of Women for a Stronger Nation,” where industry leaders and policymakers discussed ways to break workplace barriers, nurture female leadership, and foster inclusive work environments.
Beyond professional development, She-Fix 2025 also featured live entertainment, music performances, interactive games, and networking opportunities, with the spin-the-wheel challenge adding an extra layer of excitement to the experience.
