NNPCL blames ‘logistics issues’ for fuel scarcity in Lagos, Abuja

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has blamed fuel scarcity on hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.
Several parts of the Lagos metropolis were on Saturday morning hit by fuel scarcity.
Long queues at some fuel stations in Abule- Egba and Agege areas of Lagos as well as the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway. Most fuel stations were not selling petrol at all.
Chief Corporate Communications Officer, NNPC Ltd, Olufemi Soneye in a statement on Saturday stated that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.
He stated further that the company it is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations.
