By Kunle Sanni –
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a nationwide enlightenment campaign in Yobe State, focusing on five key areas to strengthen national unity and development.
The flag-off took place on Friday in Damaturu, where NOA Director General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, represented by the Director of Planning, Research and Strategy, Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi, outlined the campaign themes. These include awareness of government programmes, flood mitigation and disaster preparedness, national security vigilance, values re-orientation for students and youth, and the promotion of Nigerian identity and national symbols.

The campaign will cover all 17 local government areas in Yobe through town hall meetings, school visits, roadshows, and engagements with traditional and religious leaders.
The agency emphasized the importance of collaboration, urging the media and civil society to help shape public opinion and foster trust between government and citizens.
NOA also called on Nigerians to take ownership of the initiative as a collective responsibility to promote peace, unity, and national development.
