Nobody can scare me, I’ll seek re-election — Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has declared that he will seek re-election, insisting that no opposition coalition or political pressure can force him to abandon his administration’s reform agenda.

Speaking during a meeting with the national, zonal and state leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu said: “Nobody can scare me. I will seek re-election.”

The President added that attempts to intimidate or distract him would fail, stressing that he remained committed to policies aimed at lifting Nigerians out of poverty and stabilising the economy.

“They want to scare me off. It’s a lie. I’ve been through this path before, and if I have to come back over and over again, I’ll do the same thing,” he said.

Tinubu also reaffirmed his commitment to democratic principles, respect for the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary.

“We cannot submit to disobedience of a lawful order of a court. We must embrace the judiciary, whether it favours us or not. That is the principle of democracy and separation of powers,” he said.

He urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to take the message of reforms to all parts of the country, assuring Nigerians that the difficult journey of reform would bring lasting prosperity.

“All I can promise is that I won’t give up. Life’s voyage is not going to be easy, but you will not regret travelling this path with me,” Tinubu said.
