Nollywood actor Ayobami Olabiyi passes away after brief illness

Popular Nollywood actor, Alhaji Ayobami Olabiyi, also known as Bobo B, has passed away.

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Oyo State chapter, confirmed that Olabiyi died in Ibadan, Oyo State, following a brief illness.

Until his death, Olabiyi was the former governor of TAMPAN in Oyo State and was serving as the association’s national secretary.

Reports indicate that Olabiyi, who was scheduled to appear on a movie set in Oyo last month, was unable to do so due to his declining health. He was admitted to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where he later passed away.

The news of his death was officially announced by the current Oyo State TAMPAN governor, Bose Akinola.

The statement reads: “On the directive of the Oyo State TAMPAN governor, Her Excellency Yeye Bose Akinola, I announce the death of our TAMPAN national general secretary, Chief Alhaji Musadshir Ayobami Olabiyi, ‘Bobo B.’ May God grant his family and the entire TAMPAN community the strength to bear this loss. Insha Allah, Amen.”
