NSC confirms Enugu as host of next National Sports Festival

…as Olopade calls for early bids

The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Honourable Bukola Olopade, has announced that Enugu State will host the next edition of the National Sports Festival.

Speaking at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Olopade called on other states interested in hosting future editions to submit their bids early.

“This process ensures the next host state is well-prepared to deliver a successful festival,” Olopade stated, emphasizing the importance of early planning for a seamless event.

Commenting on the Gateway Games, Olopade lauded the collaboration between the Main Organising Committee (MOC) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC), which he said has ensured a smooth start.

He described the arrangements for accommodation and feeding as “superb,” noting that no complaints had been received from participating state contingents.
