Sport Nigeria LTD/GTE is set to collaborate with the National Sports Commission (NSC) to host the upcoming Sports Africa Investment Summit (SAIS) 2024, scheduled for November 19-20 at the Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island.

The NSC’s newly appointed Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, will play a prominent role in shaping the summit’s agenda, which centers on positioning sports as a catalyst for economic growth in Africa.

As the Special Guest of Honour, Mallam Dikko will deliver the keynote address on the opening day, presenting his vision for sports as a powerful economic and social force in Nigeria and across the continent. His address will emphasize the potential of sports as an economically viable sector that can thrive through sustainable business models.

In addition to the keynote, Mallam Dikko will participate as a panelist in two key breakout sessions: “Facilities, Stadiums, and Arenas – The Sports Infrastructure Strategy for Industry Development” and “Accelerating Industrialization through Sports Development and Investments.” His insights will support the NSC’s mission to position sports as a driver of economic growth and community impact.

Mallam Dikko’s active participation emphasizes the NSC’s commitment to building public-private partnerships that can elevate sports beyond recreation. The Commission aims to turn the sector into a sustainable development platform that drives economic progress across Nigeria and Africa.

Themed “Unleashing Africa’s Potential: Investing in Sports Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future,” SAIS 2024 will gather policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to discuss strategic collaborations. With a focus on using sports as a pathway to sustainable development, the summit aims to unlock significant social and economic benefits through sports infrastructure investments across Africa.

SAIS 2024 will commence at 9:00 am each day on November 19 and 20 at the Lagos Continental Hotel, providing a key opportunity for stakeholders to shape the future of sports in Africa.
