MBA student’s death: Court denies Adedoyin, six others bail

An Osun State High Court on Monday declined the bail applications brought before it by the owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, Dr Rahman Adedoyin and six others over the death of Timothy Adegoke, an MBA student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

Delivering a ruling on the applications, the presiding judge and Chief Judge of the state, Justice Adepele Ojo said the defendants’ medical conditions are not too serious to be attended to by the correctional service.

She added that the accused persons have failed to prove that the correction service did not have adequate facilities to take care of their medical issues.

Ojo stated that the nature of the offences preferred against the accused persons demands that the court tread with caution in granting such bail applications.
