The new Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adedayo Adegbola, has appealed to the Oyo State Government to rehabilitate education, social, and healthcare infrastructure in Eruwa town.
Oba Adegbola made the appeal during his official installation ceremony held at the Eleruwa Stadium, Sango, Eruwa, in Ibarapa East Local Government Area on Saturday.
The monarch also urged the government to expedite work on the proposed agricultural hub, fast-track the completion of the Eleyele-Ido-Eruwa road, and improve the township’s internal road network.
He pledged to collaborate with the government to ensure the needs of the Eruwa people are met, stating that the town should benefit fully from the ongoing development efforts across Oyo State.
“Our education, social, and healthcare infrastructure urgently require rehabilitation, modern equipment, and new facilities. Institutions like Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, our District Hospital, water works, and older public schools all need attention,” he stated.
In response, Governor Seyi Makinde assured residents of Eruwa and the entire Ibarapa zone that the Eleyele-Ido-Eruwa road would be completed within 11 months, apologizing for the delay.
The event was attended by top monarchs including the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade; the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Laoye Ghandi; the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Shefiu Oyebola; representatives of the Olubadan, and other dignitaries.
