Obama lists Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ as one of 2023 favourite songs

Former US President Barack Obama has revealed his favorite music of 2023, and among the songs he enjoyed listening to were several by Nigerian artists, including “Unavailable” by Davido and Musa Keys.
Obama shared his annual playlist on his social media platforms on Saturday, featuring a diverse mix of genres and artists from around the world.
He wrote: “As we wind down 2023, I wanted to share with you some of the songs that made me smile, dance, and reflect during this challenging year. Whether you’re in the mood for some upbeat tunes or some soulful melodies, I hope you find something to enjoy in this playlist.”
The list included songs by Karol G & Shakira, Zach Bryan & Kacey Musgraves, Dave & Central Cee, 6LACK, Megan Thee Stallion, Blondesl, Ale Araya & Joseph Chilliams, Beyoncé & Kendrick Lamar, Tyla, Allison Russell, Mitski, Big Thief, Indigo De Souza, Stormzy & Fredo, John Summit & Hayla, Yng Lxcas & Peso Pluma, Victoria Monét, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Teddy Swims, Rita Wilson & Keith Urban, and Gabe Lee.
However, one song that caught the attention of many fans and followers was “Unavailable” by Davido and Musa Keys, a catchy afrobeat track that has been dominating the charts and airwaves across Africa and beyond. The song is from Davido’s fifth studio album, “A Better Time”, which was released in November 2023 and features collaborations with other prominent artists such as Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Nas, Lil Baby, and Tiwa Savage.
In addition to Davido and Musa Keys, Obama also showed his appreciation for other Nigerian songs and artists, such as “Sittin’ on Top of the World” by Burna Boy and Tiwa Savage, “Amapiano” by Asake and Olamide, and “Me & U” by Tems.
