Obasanjo eulogises constitutional lawyer Tunji Abayomi at 75

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has described constitutional lawyer Dr Tunji Abayomi as a man of conscience who uses the law as an instrument for justice and societal progress.
Obasanjo gave the commendation during the 75th birthday celebration of Dr Abayomi, held at the International Event Centre (The Dome) in Akure, Ondo State.
The former president praised Dr Abayomi for his integrity, courage and lifelong devotion to truth and fairness in the pursuit of justice.
“I know Tunji very well; he is always on the side of justice. He will ensure that your rights are not trampled upon but that you get the justice you deserve. He will handle everything with his usual dedication and unique approach. I am proud of you, Tunji.
“We bear the profound responsibility of upholding the principles of human dignity and human rights. It is our duty to do what is right and to ensure that it is done rightly.”
Speaking, Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa described Dr Abayomi as a man of many parts whose passion for democracy and community development remains exemplary.
“You have always stood by what is right. You detest injustice and never allow anyone to be cheated,” Aiyedatiwa said.
“At 75, you are only just beginning. This marks the start of a new journey, and you will celebrate many more fulfilling years ahead,” the governor added.
