Obasanjo, Makinde, others to commission road projects in Osun

The Osun State Government has announced a series of events to commemorate the second-year anniversary of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration.
The celebration, which kicks off this Friday, will run until late December and feature the participation of several high-profile dignitaries.
The Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of the Second-Year Anniversary Committee, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, while unveiling the activities planned for the anniversary, disclosed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo will commission the Old Garage-Lameco dualized road on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. A luncheon will also be held in honor of Chief Obasanjo at the Banquet Hall of the Government House.
Igbalaye further stated that a novelty football match between the legislative and executive arms of government will take place on Saturday.
He added that Governor Adeleke will disburse a ₦1.8 billion bond to pensioners on November 25, 2024. On the same day, state awards will be presented to deserving indigenes at various venues.
“Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State will commission the Osogbo Ring Road on December 5, 2024,” Igbalaye said. “On the same day, the Governor will distribute cheques to micro-credit applicants.”

The commissioning of the Cooperative College in Ode Omu on December 11, 2024.
The flag-off of the statewide Imole Agro-Entrepreneur Project on December 13, 2024.
Inspection of the Oke-Fia/Lameco flyovers by the Ministers of Works and Aviation.
The foundation-laying ceremony for the state airport project.
The commissioning of the Akoda-Ede road by the Ministers of Aviation and Works.
According to Igbalaye, these programs are designed to showcase the administration’s accomplishments and underscore Governor Adeleke’s commitment to the people of Osun State.
