The Special Assistant on Media to the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Kehinde Akinyemi has taken a swipe at the publication made by Mao Ohuabunwa, which indicated that the former President has endorsed him for the 2023 presidential race.

Akinyemi in a reaction to the story on Saturday, noted that if that was the way the presidential aspirant wanted to approach his ambition, such was a wrong way.

The media aide, who claimed that he was with the duo during the visit of Ohuabunwa to Obasanjo, declared that he (Ohuabunwa) put words in his boss’ mouth by the publication.

“He (Ohuabunwa) came here and the former President received him as a gentleman and in the spirit of his 85th birthday celebrations only for him to go and put words into his mouth. Baba is not that sort of man and if that is the way he wants to fulfill his ambition that is a wrong way,” Akinyemi said.
