Obi, Datti-Ahmed absent as Labour Party unveils Presidential Campaign Council

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed were both absent as the party unveiled its presidential campaign council on Wednesday.
The list consists of a seven-member Management Team with Dr Doyin Okupe as the Director General, while Mr Oseloka Obaze will serve as the Deputy Director General and Campaign Manager.
Other members of the Management Team are Alhaji Yusuf Bello Maitama and Denzel Kentebe who are Deputy Director General North and South respectively while Isaac Balami and Eyitemi Taire are Deputy Campaign Managers.
The PCC also has coordinators for the six geo-political zones and the 36 states.
The party, however, failed to name coordinators for Edo and Rivers states.
Also announced was a 27-member Presidential Advisory Council (PAC) with Barr. Julius Abure as chairman. Some of the members of the PAC are President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, Professor Pat Utomi and Senator Chris Anyanwu.
WesternPost had earlier reported that Obi and the party leadership were at loggerheads over the composition of the PCC.
According to reports, the party leadership claimed it was not carried along in the setting up of the council.
