Ogbara wins Kosofe federal constituency APC ticket

The National Coordinator, Women in Nigeria for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (WIN4ABAT), Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to contest for the Kosofe Federal Constituency.

In a primary conducted on Friday, by party officials, led by Mr. Fuad Oki at Ikosi Isheri LCDA Secretariat, and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ogbara, who is also the Lagos State secretary of Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (SWAGA23) defeated her rival, Remi Odunsi Oluwagbon, by a wide margin, 44–1.

Other contestants, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, Mr. Dayo Bush, and Mr. Abiodun Owokoya, scored zero.
 Speaking to journalists shortly after she was declared the winner, Ogbara described her victory as a victory for democracy.

She expressed profound gratitude to the National Leader of the APC, Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu; Governor Babajide Sanwoolu; and Chairman, Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Tajudeen Olusi, for their exemplary leadership.

Ogbara also thanked chairmen of Kosofe Local Government, Moyosore Ogunlewe, Ikosi Isheri LCDA, Samiat Bada, and Agboyi Ketu LCDA, Dele Oshinowo, party leaders, members, and delegates. 

She specially thanked the delegates for voting her voluntarily without any monetary inducement.

She assured her constituents that they should expect a credible voice and quality representation.
