Ogbomoso kingmaker, High Chief Abioye, passes on

A prominent kingmaker in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, High Chief Tijani Abioye, is dead.
Abioye, until his death, held the revered traditional title of Bara of Ogbomosoland, ranked third among the six recognised kingmakers in the ancient town.
According to family sources, the high chief died on Sunday following age-related health complications.
He was installed as Bara in the early 1980s by the immediate past Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III.
