Ogogo’s children appreciate supporters, announce Nollywood re-entry

Late actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo’s children, Halimah and Shakira, have announced their return to the Nollywood industry with the launch of LimaTv on YouTube.

The two sisters made the announcement on their official Instagram pages on Wednesday, thanking supporters for their continued support and urging the public to extend the love they showed their late father to their projects.

“We are coming to the industry, and we are here to stay. So, please extend the love you showed our daddy to us as we produce movies and post them on YouTube. Kindly help us share and subscribe to KiraOgogo TV on YouTube,” they said.

A close associate and longtime friend of their father, Azeez Olufade, popularly known as Olu Ogogo, had earlier hinted at the siblings’ comeback during an interview with Agbaletu TV. He disclosed that the sisters were working on a major project and had several movies in production for their audience.

Halimah Ogogo graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Lagos, while her sister, Shakira Ogogo, earned a National Diploma in Business Administration from Gateway Polytechnic. However, both have established careers in the entertainment industry as actresses and content creators.

The duo have featured primarily in Yoruba Nollywood films and digital entertainment, influenced largely by their upbringing as daughters of the late veteran actor. Shakira began acting as a child in the 1998 film Idajo Olorun, produced by her father. She made her official debut as an adult actress in 2014 after taking a break to focus on her education. She has since featured in various Nollywood productions and comedy skits, often alongside her father, who supported her digital content creation career.

Halimah has also featured in contemporary Yoruba films since formally entering the industry after completing her degree. She has appeared in various productions associated with prominent filmmakers, including Adebimpe Oyebade Films.

The siblings expressed appreciation to the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu; Hon. Tayo Ayinde; Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun; Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Yayi; the Olu of Ilaro; and their well-wishers for their unwavering support.
