Ogun 2023: Kuyebi declares for House of Reps

By Kolawole Olayinka, Abeokuta

An aspirant for the House of Representatives in the forthcoming general elections for Yewa North/ImekoAfon Federal Constituency, Tope Kuyebi, has charged the electorate to collect their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to enable them vote for candidates of their choice in 2023.

Kuyebi made this known during his mega rally and official declaration held at Christ Church School playing ground, Imashai, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The aspirant, who has been a seasoned politician, said he joined the race because his people are tired of lacklustre representation at the green chamber and will therefore leave no stone unturned to do the needful if he gets elected.

“And talking of what I am bringing on board, it is a whole lot that is tied to ensuring that my good people across these two local governments (Yewa North – ImekoAfon Federal Constituency) enjoy real good dividends of democracy. There is a lot of federal presence that ought to be felt across these two local governments in infrastructure, empowerment, job creations, healthcare, education among others that are lacking.

“There will definitely be regular engagement with the people to ensure that their inputs are captured in those bills and yearnings we are working on. We are really going to deploy the instrument of lawmaking to raise the bar of good governance and adequate representation during our tenure by the special grace of God.

“I need to also inform you that we shall also form good synergy and partnership with our hardworking governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who by that time would have been serving his second term in office by the special grace of God,” he said.

Speaking on Abiodun’s leadership in the state, Kuyebi said that it is an open secret that the governor is a first class silent achiever and that is why many residents of the state are already clamouring for his second term come 2023.
