Ogun state intensifies efforts to ensure safety, peace during Easter celebration

The Ogun State Police Command has intensified security measures across the state ahead of the Easter celebrations.

The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, said the move is in line with directives from the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu.

He explained that the command has deployed joint security forces, operational assets, and a large number of personnel to ensure the safety of residents during the festive period.

According to the police, patrols have been strengthened along major highways and strategic locations to protect lives and property across the state.

Similarly the command also carried out a show of force in collaboration with other security agencies to boost public confidence and deter criminal activities.

The operation involved patrol vehicles, tactical teams, and intelligence units working together to maintain law and order.

In his address, Ojajuni said officers have been assigned to traffic control and other operational duties, adding that the police will continue to work closely with other security agencies for effective coverage.

He urged residents to remain law-abiding and report suspicious activities, assuring that security operations will continue throughout and after the Easter celebrations.
