Olu of Ilaro visits Soun of Ogbomosoland, strengthens traditional ties

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, on Thursday, received the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Ghadewole Olugbenle, at his palace in Ogbomoso.
Oba Olugbenle, who also serves as the Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas, visited the Soun’s palace in what was described as a reaffirmation of unity and collaboration among traditional rulers.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both monarchs to discuss cultural preservation and regional development. The royal leaders emphasized their shared commitment to advancing their communities and upholding the rich heritage of their people.
Oba Olaoye highlighted the significance of the visit, noting that it symbolized the strength of traditional institutions in fostering cooperation and progress.
