The installation formed part of the elevation of chiefs on the Civil Line of the Olubadan Chieftaincy hierarchy, with Chief Sanusi receiving one of the revered traditional titles under the age-long succession system unique to Ibadanland.

The colourful ceremony attracted traditional rulers, members of the Olubadan-in-Council, political office holders, business leaders, family members and well-wishers, who gathered to witness the historic event and celebrate the newly installed chief.

Chief Sanusi’s elevation is widely regarded as recognition of his contributions to the growth and development of Ibadanland through philanthropy, business investments and support for various community development initiatives across Oyo State.

Over the years, the businessman and philanthropist has been involved in programmes aimed at empowering youths, supporting education, promoting healthcare and creating employment opportunities, earning him widespread recognition within and beyond the state.

Speaking at the installation ceremony, the Olubadan reaffirmed the importance of the traditional chieftaincy institution in honouring individuals who have demonstrated commitment to the progress, unity and cultural heritage of Ibadanland.

The installation further strengthens Chief Sanusi’s position within the Olubadan traditional hierarchy and is expected to increase his participation in the promotion of peace, culture and development in the ancient city.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the continued peaceful reign of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, while family members, associates and supporters congratulated Chief Sanusi on his new title, describing the honour as a fitting recognition of his years of service to Ibadanland.
