Oluremi Tinubu commissions campaign headquarters, says economy on recovery path

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has said Nigeria is on the path to economic recovery and sustainable development, citing improved investor confidence in the country.
She spoke on Friday while commissioning the headquarters of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja, where she urged members of the group to communicate the policies and achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to Nigerians.

Mrs Tinubu said the door-to-door approach remained an important means of engaging communities, listening to citizens’ concerns and understanding their expectations.
“The door-to-door campaign approach remains one of the most vital avenues for true community engagement, which gives us the privilege to listen to the heartfelt concerns of families, understand the aspirations of our young people, honour the wisdom of our elders, and learn directly from the women who serve as the resilient backbone of our homes and society as a whole,” she said.
She urged members of the movement to ensure their engagements promoted hope, peace, unity and development, while highlighting what she described as the administration’s progress.
The First Lady commended the group for extending its activities to 14 states and encouraged its members to sustain the effort as the All Progressives Congress begins its presidential campaign.
She also urged them to engage Nigerians peacefully and respectfully, irrespective of political affiliation.
“Let us win the hearts and votes through the strength of our message: Renewed Hope, True Federalism and Shared Prosperity,” she said.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who also spoke at the event, urged Nigerians to have faith in what he described as the country’s gradual but steady improvement.
