First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has reaffirmed the importance of national unity, youth empowerment, and women’s development as key drivers of Nigeria’s progress.

She made this known during separate meetings with representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) at the State House, Abuja.

During her engagement with the UNDP delegation led by Resident Representative Elsie Attafuah, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the need for Nigerians to adopt a “Think Nigeria First” mindset to foster national unity and growth.

“Whether you are from the North, South, East, or West, let us think Nigeria first. Our youths are doing great things, and the best is yet to come,” she said.

She highlighted that her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) would continue working with development partners to promote youth mentorship, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment.

Attafuah commended the Tinubu administration’s reforms and outlined UNDP’s ongoing projects, including the Nigeria First Initiative, SME support, the Export Lab, and the creation of 36 University Innovation Pods. She also announced a new “Made in Nigeria” campaign to support over 40 million small businesses.
